Infatuation can often be mistaken for love. It’s always been said that love can make you do crazy things, but what if infatuation is truly to blame?

Science nerds understand infatuation as a term that describes the way your brain chemistry is altered when you’re strongly attracted to someone. Some people call it a crush, some call it obsession, and some call it love.

If you’re not careful with managing your emotions, infatuation can make you do crazy, impulsive things. Infatuation interacts with many of the same brain chemicals that control mood and behavior. It can make you feel euphoric and distracted to the point you neglect other areas of your life just to get closer to that special someone.

But if you ARE careful with managing your emotions and keep them in check, infatuation can be a lovely, beautiful thing that grows into real love. After all, infatuation is a prerequisite to every great love story.

Hormonal imbalances can be caused by a range of different factors—some of which are within your control, and some of which are not.

For instance, it’s not possible to fully control your hormones during puberty, pregnancy, and the stages of menopause. But if your hormones are off-balance due to factors like too much stress or lack of exercise, modifying these behaviors can go a long way toward reducing your symptoms.

Thankfully, there are things you can try on your own to mitigate the effects of hormone imbalances and start feeling better. Practicing the following behaviors has helped me for a few decades now—I no longer experience PMS symptoms. But, everyone is different!

Natural Ways To Prevent Pimples and Acne Breakouts

I often read posts from women who boldly announce they’ve come to embrace their pimples and acne, accepting it’s “part of who they are.” I think this is BS, because there’s no reason ANYONE should have to live with acne problems!

Contrary to the popular belief that acne is hereditary and nothing can be done about it, it’s possible to prevent and eliminate acne by practicing a few clean, healthy habits. Exercising regularly, drinking lots of water, and eating nutritious foods are just a few things you can do to improve the appearance of your skin.

Of course, there are instances where hormone changes are to blame—such as that which occur during pregnancy and menopause— and there’s nothing you can do to help it. But certain behaviors can help mitigate the problem.

It never ceases to amaze me how certain foods, plants, and common household items can resolve certain health problems in a pinch.

Got heartburn? No worries, just drink one or two capfuls of Bragg’s ACV and to make it go away within minutes. Have itching or infected eyes? Researchers report that putting raw honey—particularly Manuka honey—into your eyes can naturally rinse away bacteria and other harmful debris. Suffering from a sunburn or minor chemical burn? Put yogurt on your face to find relief!

A friend of mine was working with chemical solutions for an art project and suffered a minor burn on his neck despite taking precautions. The burns were relatively minor and didn’t affect him until the next morning, when he described experiencing unrelenting itching on his neck. There was also a bit of redness and inflammation around the area.
